Our customer HILLROM develops and produces modern medical devices for surgery rooms, intensive care units and adjoining hospital areas. In hospital areas, especially in the surgery rooms, efficient procedures are essential. For ensuring an efficient workflow for the operation teams, the usage of digital systems and automated devices are necessary to improve the user comfort and to increase the security of the patient. This requirement fulfils Hillrom with its innovative intelligent solutions by setting new benchmarks. To ensure the worldwide growth and the competitive advantage, the company is searching for the Site Sourcing Manager m/f/d. Location for this position is in Saalfeld/Thuringia.

Tasks/Duties

  • Own responsibility in leading and for efficient further development of the purchase (costs, process) for the German site, in close alignment with operations, engineering, finance, sales, quality, etc.
  • Ensuring the purchase of existing products/services and strategic search of products/services, as a result of the new product innovation process.
  • Managing the current suppliers base on cost-benefit efficiency and number of suppliers.
  • Identify risks within the supply-chain. Establishing appropriate measures, verification of their implementation and sustainability.
  • Leadership of the team, due social competence and motivation for the assigned tasks.
  • Understanding the needs of the parent’s company and those of the site. Ability to be mediate to achieve the best results for the group.
  • Member for the group purchase strategy.

Your profile

  • Academic degree with technical background or already successful as purchasing leader in a similar company.
  • Over many years well-grounded experience in the international, strategic and operative purchase, with correlated leadership.
  • Conceptional and analytical thinking, as very good organisational skills, with distinctive leadership.
  • Results-oriented independent work under high work load, strategic thinking and creativity.
  • High social competence, intercultural understanding and flexibility to adopt within an international organisation and the upcoming challenges for their success.
  • Strong accomplishment
  • Knowledge about employment law and collective bargaining law.
  • Project- and time-management.
  • Fluent in English written and spoken.
  • Confident handling of SAP purchase tools and Windows
