Our client is one of the leading importer and wholesaler of technical accessories for the industry, shipyards and specialist dealers in Germany. As part of an international group it is based in a metropolitan region in northern Germany to support his sophisticated customers with an experienced sales team and by constantly developing new ways to improve efficiency. Representing renowned brands the company offer the most comprehensive product range in the market from small spare parts to complete system solutions.

Ihre Aufgaben

As Managing Director (m/f/d), the job holder is leading the team at site and is responsible for all activities of the company.

In particular, the tasks include:

  • Guiding the overall company and developing a sustainable and future-oriented corporate strategy
  • Consolidation of the B-to-B market (particularly leisure shipping)
  • Assuming full budgetary and profit responsibility
  • Developing new markets
  • Expanding market potential in established and new markets
  • Providing support for the maintenance of key accounts
  • Supporting customer communication
  • Looking for and establishing new partners/brands
  • Further developing of internal structures and processes
  • Regular communication and reporting to the headquarters
Ihr Profil

  • Proven track record and relevant industry experience in the leisure or commercial marine market
  • Alternatively: wholesale experience with a deep understanding of value creation from supplier to market, including internal operations and boat experience
  • Pronounced business management competence combined with high sales affinity
  • Good IT knowledge (office products, ERP systems)
  • Familiar with planning processes
  • Fluent in English, spoken and written
  • An excellent team motivator and communicator
  • Personality:

    • Entrepreneurial attitude and ability to get things done
    • Combines strategic vision, overview and strong analytical capabilities with pragmatism and creativity
    • Customer orientated and proactive
    • Able to make decisions independently
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
    • Owns respect and credibility (stemming from experience and personality)
